Heated grips

2006 R1200GSA with OEM heated grips.
Over the last few months when using heated grips it has become noticeable that the throttle is becoming stiff to use, switch them off and as they cool down everything returns to normal.
Has anyone else had this problem, is it just a case of strip down and a re-lube.

Common problem.

Choose either option...

1. Undo right hand switchgear and move it left a little bit.

Or

2. Undo bar end wight, remove it then insert. Washer between bar end and end of bars.

Job done

Swelling grip caused by heat catches on bar end, that's all.

Failing that get a pair of Gerbing heated gloves, not the best thing since sliced bread, but certainly the first ever bread toaster,
