Only a short queery. Is there a simple/complicated bit of kit included in the electrics of my 1200 that makes the heated grips warmer the faster I go. Didn't do this on the old 650. Sorry if its already been covered, but unable to find an answer using the search facility.

I use my heaters quite a lot and I haven't noticed any speed dependency.

Hi Gypsy,

well if there is I haven't noticed it. To me they seem warmer when riding slower due to the wind chill factor I reckon!

Well, just to give balance to the debate I'd agree with Gipsy. My heated grips seem to run pretty cool around town at low rpm, but heat up pretty warm once you get out on the open road. Mind you I'd better enjoy them while they are still working... see my earlier post!

Yes I'd agree that there does seem to be a bit of a boost once I get cracking.

I put it down to a bit more juice going through the altergenerating thingy.
