heated grips

the left hand heated grip on my 1150 gs is not working. I know the bike had been dropped on the left hand side before I bought it, does anyone know the best place to start looking for the problem.

find wires check ohms resistance or turn on grips and meter 12v the plugs on both sides red is plus ,black is neg
one will show a volts reading and the other not or buy new ones or pop to warrington i will do it for you ,cheers jono

Most heated grips go on the left hand side first. That's the grip you use to manoeuvre the bike around manually and when you put it on the centre stand.
