heated grips

Anyone got any information on heated grip function on a 650 dakar?
Its ok on the cooler setting but when i switch to hot the fuse blows.
A wiring diagram would help(my cd version dosnt have one),but afunction description or even retrofit instructions would be ok.
I think your big boy gs,s are probably the same system.
Is there a resistor in the cooler circuit or what?
ive checked the switch and for shorts to earth and cant find the fault(its intermittant)

there is a 1.9 ohm resistor for the cooler setting on the 1150gs, part of the loom, but it doesn't seem like that is your problem. I would say you have an intermittent earth, try disconnecting one side then the other then both to see if you can isolate the problem, check the loom where it flexes at the headstock.
