Back from our trip now, the K60's have done over 5k miles on both my GSA and Jane's 800GS, still lots of wear left. We did a mix of motorway, A road, back road and unsealed road, biblical downpours and 35 degree heat and the tyres were fine in all situations. I had a bit of a front wobble but can't tell as yet if it was load/suspension settings or the tyres. They look like an excellent dual sport choice.

How loaded was your bike?
Am planning on doing Calums road trip so need tyres that will do 5K at least I have Battlewings on at the moment with 3800 miles and the rear is looking iffy already.

Fitting
Fitted mine a few days ago. The temp factor wasn't helping (13C) and no sun, but with some soapy water they snapped onto the bead
The rear was to me the more difficult to get on with three short irons. The tire was stiffer than Anakees or TKCs, but deceided to cooperate after a man to man chat
The front was somewhat easier. After balancing and fitting the wheels I went for a ride the day after. TPS proved to be a blessing 
The front is not holding air as it should 
a small leak at three-four spots along the rim (aprox 20 cm). I loose about 0.5 bar during a 2 hrs ride. Any suggestions, bar breaking the bead and reseating?

's funny mine are ozzing a bit of air too. Not as much as 0.5 in 2 hours, but I am topping up 0.3 -0.5 bar each week. I am tempted to break the bead, drop in a lot more tyre lube then try to reseat again ...

Have been playing with the front tire pressure. Apparently it looses very little air if I keep the pressure all the way up at about 3.0 bar. Air loss accelerates though as pressure drops. At 2.0 bar it only takes a about 20 km before I read 1.9...
Guess I will have to fix this before any real off road

Hi Bhud, the bike was loaded, 2 Metal Mule 45l panniers, a small topbox and a tent on the back seat! There's still 7mm of tread left after 5k miles. I ran 36/42 psi and I also noticed the pressures needed checking daily.
Regarding re seating the bead, does anyone know how high one can safely go when trying to seat it? I pushed mine to 70 psi to fit, but chickened out from going much higher ...Anyone out there worked in the tyre fitting trade?

After today’s small test I have to report that the traction in new wet snow is limited At 860 m ASL and +3C I did expect a challenge - and got it Airing down the rear to 1.8 bar did help traction, but still quite a handful Staying out of the hard packed tracks did also help. So far I like the K60s, but of course no magic wand

I also tested out the ASC options and found S (sport-/terrain-mode) to give the best result as to control of the beast and to propell it along the way
For those who might think this was some high speed burn out, I can just say that the speed was closer to some thing between a brisk walk and running

Had mine on my 1200 for 5 months now and 5210 miles later they look good for the same again easy.
One up with 2x 45 litre loaded mules, tent etc

Ok, am on the verge of ordering these, but have concerns about the air leak.
Anyone else on here suffered it? If so how bad is it and anyone had theirs stay up without leaking?

Mine have been on for a few weeks now but only done a few hundered miles. No probs so far...............
Seems that two of us who fit our own tyres have experienced this issue.
Do you fit your own, or take them to a man with a machine? If it is the latter I would hazard a guess that you won't have any issues, probably.
I intend to send them to south of Spain with Fanum, to be fitted on our way to Gambia in January, by whoever Fanum uses down there......

Never heard of this before - and been involved in extensive testing of these tyres her in SA. Sounds like the bead might not have been seated properly when fitting by hand. You need to bounce the wheel alot while turning it before inflating.
I don't think this is a big deal, just check your pressures daily like you normally would (you do, don't you?). Mine had lost a bit, but then I'd been bouncing 350kg of bike rider and luggage over some interesting roads. And really, your choice the K60's, Tourances which have very limited off road capability or TKC's which will probably not last the duration of the trip. I've switched mine (after 5k, don't forget) to my off road wheels rather than consign them to the heap of part used Karoo's and TKC's I've got in the shed which have all just about got a weekend or two left in them after one trip away.
