Thanks Frisky. Yes, I have just come to the realisation what a huge subject lights are. I did a search and my oh my, only about a gazillion topics on the subject. I've read a good few of them and I think I am starting to get a good idea about what's out there.

i have been loaned a 1150 for the day while my 12 was being serviced...... i loved it..... 'squashed mangos' if i could feel the difference in weight and the 1200 hype.... buy one 2nd hand any day..... but hated the way the old boxes don't let you know you're in 1st...... u know the soft feel where you have to look at the gear indicator at lights?

as for those horrid things the woosie on here fit lovingly..... well i'm an ex multistrada rider....... the riding position is nearly the same but there is more weight on the hands ...... hence i didn't give a jot to side winds blasting ....... only when steptoe told me how to counter did me get better. but then i can ride on a gs all day!

i love my 12...... but if i woke up tomorrow on an 1150..... i'd love that too..... so much more of the gs heritage in it.... even with the soft 1st.

when they have yellow seats for the 12 my bike will be black.
