Looking to purchase a flip front Helmet. Would like a BMW system 6 but don’t have the money. Thinking about a Caberg. Any advice would be appreciated.

Lots to choose from I've recently bought a Nolan N103... for about £200.

Good helmet, well made with lots of nice touches..

Caberg Sintesi

Have one for 7 months. Bluetooth kit works well with my iphone 4.
I phone 4 can play music, record video, and be my satnav all at once, and I can answer the phone at same time.
Make dealer fit bluetooth in the price. Fitting it is a pain in the ass.

Justissimo is an alternative. Bluetooth kit is shite.

Both have the internal dark slide up/down visor, but justissio is delicate.

I've had a Caberg Sintesi 2 for about 12 months and fitted the Just Speak bluetooth system about 3 months ago. This works great with my Nokia for phone (with voice dialling), sat nav (free with Nokia maps) and MP3. The helmet is fine for what it is - a mid-price flip-front, there are better and lighter models on the market but you get what you pay for! It's not the quietest lid ever but it fits me very well (which is the most important thing) and is fine with ear plugs, and much better now I've finally found a screen combination which works for my 6'4" frame.

Have to say I found fitting the bluetooth kit a doddle - with some advice about not fully removing the lining which I found on t'interweb.

Just make sure you measure up properly and get a lid that fits your shape of head - everyone is different - I could never find a Shoei that fit properly until their new flip came out (but that's north of £400!)

What ...

... size head are you ? I've been given a flip front in L you could try/buy and it'll be in Devon by the weekend. Not sure of make as it's packed away :nenau

Hmmm ...

... Might be a little to big but you're welcome to try; it'll be halfway between Okehampton and Launceston by Friday night. Post an email address (or subscribe) for more details.

Shark evoline works for me :thumb

I have the series 2 which I like.
They have just brought out the
series 3, so there will probably be some good deals
v soon on the series 2 stock if money is tight!

I have just got the new Shoei Neotec for £375. Its great, they have improved things compared to the Multitec ( and there might be some good deals on the Multitec now that they have the Neotec).the only down side is that the top vent wont close. I might have to read the instruction book

I have donefive thousand miles in a caberg konda since last september and I'm happy with a value for money product. . Size 57 is a M for me and my wife is a 56 anf went for small . . I have a roundish head and could wear hers too be ecause the lining is very giving. . . . . . Its comfy and easy to open. .the visor and sun shield brilliant. . The noise level okay for a few hours, but on a long trip you need plugs. . .

I have a schuberth C3 flip, very quite it is in deed, drop down sun visor, I like it :D :thumb2

is this not the BMW system lid :nenau

BMW's System 6 is made by Schuberth but it's not identical to the C3.

Newdevonboy - if you're shopping around for the best prices online, don't forget that Just Helmets offers 10% off if you're a UKGSer paid subscriber. May be worth paying the 12 quid ;)

Shark evoline just bought out series 3 made out of diff material so is lighter and only helmet you can ride open or closed .. at least w/o huge lump sitting on top of your head (?)

Tried one out couple of weeks back and looking to make purchase this month.

I'm guessing when peeps realise how much lighter new series 3 is they will become much more popular choice ....
