Hi,
Having just come back from the alps and stopping a lot to take pictures, I am interested in getting a helmet camera so that I could take a picture on the move. I am not really interested in taking video, just stills.
Having a look around, it looks like the Drift HD would do the job as it comes with the remote to trigger the taking of a picture.

I wondered if anyone has used one of these helmet cameras in this mode or is everyone taking video? What's the battery life like in still mode compared to video mode?

Does anyone have any other recommendations for taking stills?

Thanks,
Alan

I have a DriftHD and have used in still mode with little success. I have never kept any image taken as a still. Part of the problem is framing. I also have a an Pentax Optima on a ram mount fixed to the handlebar - and I find this easy to use and I have taken one or two decent images so this might be the way to go

Hmm, I may have to have another think.

Thanks.
