Hi Everyone,

Looking or a new helmet as I clumsily dropped by BMW Enduro. Been thinking about the Shoei Multitec or the Arai tour X. Does anyone have anyone info on these helmets?

Cheers,

Alex .....

Go Tour x

On my second tour x - superb build quality, and a great all round helmet, some complain of wind noise and of it lifting at high speeds due to the peak, but never been an issue for me.

The instructors on the BMW off-road skills course are now made to wear the BMW enduro helmet, and the comment was give me back my arai tour x anyday, so don't get a better recommendation than that in my humble opinion!

And of course what tosser isn't complete without the tour-x and rallye suit!?

Use a Multitec at work.. a bit quieter than the old synchrotec.. and the helmet comes with a smoked and clear visor.. the pods on the side have been smoothed out to make the helmet quieter.. but not by much.

I'm currently using a System 5 on the GS but if I were in the market for another helmet I'd buy a Multitec.

Its all day comfortable and feels solid in its build quality, they've also ditched the seat belt type fastenings for D rings so more secure when on your head..

Enduro and Tour X

Hi I have both helmets.I tend to use the Tour X for every day use and if I am gonna be in a environment where i am most definatley gonna come off!i.e. off road messing about and then I use the Enduro if I am touring abroad i find it lighter and cooler and better suited to warmer climates.Odd Aint I:augie

I've been using the Tour X for a little while now (my first Arai)

I also have a Shoei XR1000 which I unfairly compare the Tour X against, only complaint I have about the Tour X is noise, but not excessively so - ear plugs obligatory on the motorway, very nice helmet in my opinion
