Helmet prices

Lots of offers coming through on 22.05 helmets as retailers try to clear stock before the end of the year.

How low do you think prices will go? Could get a bargain for a back up lid

It's worth a haggle at the retailer, even if they are already discounted. Also, ask if they will do a deal on a tinted visor, pinlock to go with the new lid.

Prices will drop a little, but people will still want old stock. Amateur racers, for example, will buy whatever is cheap, fits ok and meets the required standard. When I worked at Helmet City they always went to the sale stock first. 22.05 will still sell and will remain legal so there is no hurry for the retailer, especially as 22.06 stock takes months to come through in all size/colour options.
