Hi
I’m looking to buy a new helmet and I see Ali express advertising a new Shoie J Cruise 2 for around £100.
Anyone bought a helmet off AE or too good to be true?
Thanks

I am sorry but I have to agree with @Udders above. Why in gods name would you even consider it???
Your helmet is the one piece of equipment that could save your life so why even risk the option of considering same from Alicrap….???

Shoie still make the J Cruise in it’s 3rd iteration - new, old stock 2s can still be bought from many outlets.

When an entrepreneurial fellow buys up a few dozen for £30 and bangs them out at £125 at a UK motorcycle show, bods will be tripping over themselves to snap up a bargain.

Me? No thanks.

Happened in Edinburgh Bike show a couple of years ago 👍

Infinity sell JCruise 2 - a reputable company as far as I’m aware.
The 3 has only been out for a year or so - so a few 2s have been sitting, unsold, on a shelf for a year. If the average rider wears a helmet for 5 years ……….

Indeed.

I’d simply not buy any helmet via Ali Express nor indeed, brake levers. But plenty will and do.

Quite a difference buying an end of line helmet from a recognised Shoei dealer and buying a helmet of uncertain origin from a market trader, whether in person or online.

Have a look at the articles in the press from Paul Varnsverry about how there is an endemic of fake motorcycle protective clothing at markets, car boot sales and online platforms like AE, Facebook etc. Paul has a regular column in MCN but his articles are found throughout the press.
