Thanks VERY much for everyone who took the time to post a reply to this post. What I've learned from it is - either will be fine, just make your own f'ing mind up!
I've not considered a 12 at all really - perhaps I should. I'm still at least 6 weeks away from a DAS (kitchen to be fitted first, so I'm told!) so I'll get that done and then take all three out for a ride and see which I prefer. At this stage it's most likely to be the 800 but anything could happen between now and then!
