Hi
My 08 1200 gsa with less than 4000 miles has thrown a wobbler.
Last weekend we went to the bmf and the bike ran well.I went for a short run to town and the thing wouldnt start, the engine was spinning over fine but not firing.after removing filler cap and kicking sidestand sensor etc. still no firing. Looking at the silver card and calling it a pile of shite worked wonders and we got home ok.Since then it has refused to fire despite much name calling!!!!.looks like the silver cards gonna come out again:( its off on its hols to allan jeffries as we need to be reunited for the clans do:oonyack

Some FPC problems have been reported as intermittent before finally giving up the ghost. Mine just died.

I'd strongly suspect the Fuel Pump Controller to be at fault.

More than likely, although it's suggested that it did fire up at some point and I've not heard of that with an FPC failure. I always thought that once dead, forever dead.

Mine was intermittent until it died for good. Mine is also a 2008 model and it died with 2000 miles on the clock! Must be a characteristic with the newer FPCs!!

My FPC failure was also intermittent to start with, failed a few times over three days before finally giving up the ghost.
