Hi all, Question on insurance re trying to get a quote on line . One of the questions is this bike Q - plated ???????? What the feck is that all about.
you've almost certainly not got one 
Q plate is given to a bike where it is not possible to determine the vehicles age for registration using some arcane government formulae.
old style Q plate would look something like Q123 ABC
dunno what the new "50" Q plate looks like, if such a thing exists.

Q's also used to be for Kit Cars when I was working in the Insurance Broking world a number of years ago; may also be for Vehicles written off and sold back after being repaired - not sure on that point though!!
