help PAN EUOPIAIN

or maybe PAN EUROPEAN....

You do not have an unlock code for that mapping product and for that serial number GPS in MapSource on your PC.

Have you unlocked that unit on Garmins website (http://www.garmin.com/unlock/) ?
Did you put the unlock code into MapSource ?
Have you installed (or re-installed) MapSource recently and forgotten to put in the unlock code ?

would they need the details from my first GPS a Street Pilot 111 or from the one I have now a 2610.

Should I have purchased a 60cs with City Navagator or am I still O.K to carry on by trying to use the MAPSOURCE on my P.C.

The trouble is I `m now a bit confused.

You are allowed to load each mapping product to 2 GPS units.

If you want to load City Navigator Europe that came with another GPS onto your GPSmap 60CS then you need to find the customer code that came with it.
Normally this is on a small yellow piece of paper with the original units serial number and unlock code.

You need to go to Garmins unlock page and enter the customer code and the serial number of your GPSmap 60CS and it will issue a second unlock code.

Note that this customer code will be for a particular version of City Navigator (ie v5 or v6 or v7) and this is the only version that you will be able to load onto your GPSmap 60CS.

Normaly Steve, I would imagine that you have two sets of city nav. One for the SPIII and one for the 2610. So you have two unlock codes left.

Log onto the Garmin site and follow the links to the unlock page. Fill in the info and voila. Takes a few minutes once you've got to the right page.

Take your time, don't get excited and it'll work fine.

BTW why did you buy a 60????

Bakerman, If you log on to the Garmin unlock pages with your customer code, you will be able to see your unlock code, you don’t need mail to receive it

PS use copy and paste to transfer the code to mapsource

So now answer my question, why?

Now other reason than my freind has one, I like to copy people.

What have you got I haven`t, and how much was it, where did you get it, and that looks cool.

What other reasons are there in life for purchaseing such a unnessasary thing ?

FAILURE, DON`T MANAGE IT,

THERE ASKED FOR A MAPSORCE DELUX REG CODE, I put it in and it said already in use,

emailed the tech bit of GARMIN,

Starting to wish I had paid the extra £120 and got one with City Nav with it, as I have spent half a day pissing about, and thats worth £120 to me.

BINGO DONE IT, now have MAPSAUCE on my MAP 60CS.

Cheers GUYS.

PROBLEM WAS not given correct reg number when I went to pick up a NEW one from GARMIN HQ, they gave my the serial code for the bust one that ASPID sent me.

All is well.

WHAT A BRILL BIT OF KIT, spent 2 DAYS tracking myself.
