Help please i have cruise control!

Okay bike laid up about 8 weeks took out today and the throttle grip does not twist back when you let it go handy for giving the hand a rest and doing a steady 40 but a bit dangerous. Is is just lube needed or somthing else ideas please. (didnt want to spray lube in there in case)

Are your heated grips on? When hot, the throttle tube can expand and jam against the bar end weight. Either move the switch cluster inboard a bit, or space the end weight out with a washer. It's a common 'feature'

If its a 1200 and you have heated grips then you need to slacken off the bar end and put a thin washer in between. Common fault i'm told and easily cured by the dealer or yourself.
