Hi All . Done a search but cant find anything similar.
Put my 1150adv in a family garage since mid Jan as I'm moving house. rode it in fine.
However last weeken I arrived to resurect it and the throttle stuck open when fired up. If i let go of the grip it doesnt spring back Just stays put.
I took the handlebar cover off and the cable seems fairly free. The doobry on the carb where the other ond of the cable connects will push back and then still springs freely.
So,if I wind the throttle back it feels fine but then sticks and will not spring back to it's off position. If I physically wind the grip off the cable doesn't go with it .
I appreciate thats not the most technical description
The bike has 80 k on it and still the origonal cables.
I take it its a bastard of a job the get to the cable connector box under the airbox ?
Obviously I cant ride it to a dealer so i Just need a guide before I order new cables and pull it to bits.
Thanks in advance, H6
