HELP rear light out, fuse ok, brake ok.

help folks, just this evening discovered rear tail light out, the brake light is ok though, seems to work on the same bulb, the fuse is ok, checked it myself, do you think the bulb needs swapping even thogh the brake light works...........

sounds like you just need a new bulb

Have you checked the rear lamp filament? (It's a standard dual filament stop/tail bulb)......

I had the same problem on mine a year ago, turned out to be a wire coming out of the ignition assembly which had shorted out. Soldered it back (a bit tricky) and since its been fine.
To see if its the same problem turn on ignition and wobble the wires below the key about a bit you might see the light come on and off.
Probably suffering asimilar problem again now which is making the bike cut out.... See other threads....

fixed it, it was the metal contact in the bulb housing had simply been pushed in too far, just bent it back toward the front, all ok.
