Someone has simply set the default to load extra pages, as you are using a pile of shite IE browser your comp' system is probably riddled with problems.

Install that & migrate your bookmarks over.
If you are of the worrying nature. Open IE for what will be a journey into safer cyber-world. Click > file > import & export > Export to a file > locate your desktop > finish.. There will be a small file on your desktop named Bookmarks.
I'd then compress a copy of the file & attach it to an email. Email it to myself & store a copy online. Always handy when visiting friends you can check email & check/show cool webbys to your mates. This is not imported into mates browser its just read & you click on links.
So back on track, you have installed firefox, imported your porn & now need some useful 'addons' to enable a better internet experience.
I recommend; ad blocker / No script, that will do. Visit Adobe, install Flash Player Plugin for that thing you will need it.
Okay back to filehippo a very good webby who basically collects all the good shit us Techy computer nerds use & stuff's it on one page.
Load the addons & restart browser. Note you will now have a barr in top right & bottom right. These now stop bollocks adverts most of the time but you can add policys to blocker new ad's.
You now need to visit your regular pages to allow for permissions of the main web page & all sub-links that the page has displayed on it. This all seems long winded but once you start adding/denying permissions it all comes clear ( i hope ).
So browser done/addons done/ web pages you like visited. Back to filehippo download these AVG anti-virus ( please dont talk to me if you use Norton's ). Download CCleaner / Spybot search & destroy / ad-ware.
Install each program, turn your screen saver off ( right-click display properties etc). Run each program without using your computer. They will take as long as they need..ow update each program so its got latest drivers.
Make a restore point, now go back to start to start this process.

ps: Right-click main C:drive > Tools tab & perform a error-checking (tick both boxes) the system will tell you it will do it on reboot. Do not interupt this check. Then back to Tools tab on C:\ > defrag system after or before all of above.
