Hi all, new here.

I picked up an 08 1200GSA yesterday with all the toys on it.

It's got a Garmin 550 and autocom active pluss with bluetooth dongle.

I've searched the forums and internet, but can't find the issue.

I'm connecting an iphone to the Zumo, with no problem. It downloads the phone book etc. The zumo connects via bluetooth to the dongle (seemingly with no issues) which is plugged into Aux1, yet I get no sound through the helmet speakers at all when making calls or using sat nav! The auto com headset works well when plugged in and I can hear my own voice crystal clear.

Could anyone shed some light on this for me?

Cheers

Are you sure the dongle is plugged into aux1?

Have you paired the autocom dongle with the zumo correctly, try re-pairing to be sure.

Have you tried playing music via the zumo, if you have can you hear it in your helmet speakers?

Is the stereo lead plugged into the correct place in the zumo mount, it should be plugged into the bottom headphone socket?

If you have checked all of the above try selecting bluetooth option on your zumo, choose phone, navigation and mp3 and then see if anything comes through your helmet speakers, it will be mono if it does and not sound too good!

I had a small sound problem once and it was the stereo lead into aux1, just needed a clean and pushing in again.

Thanks for the info. I've re-paired the dongle and zumo, but still no joy. I'll try the other things you mention too. The zumo and dongle are pairing up fine, as it shows the headset icon on the screen after pairing, so, as you mention, i'm led to believe it can only be a wiring issue with the stereo lead or something else...

I'll let you know how I get on....:beerjug:

dont forget to try selecting navigation, music and phone on the bluetooth option and then see if you can hear anything, if you can it would suggest a wiring issue (faulty stereo lead maybe)

Alternatively put it in the car mount and try it and see if audio can be heard using the car mount.

And dont forget to cover the connections in dielectric grease and the powewr lead connection, it will save issues later with the mount.......they are prone to fail the minute moisture gets into it.
