helps needed please

Im trying to find information about a ww2 gun installation. Im sure i read on here about a cross channel gun installation somewhere in the South East corner of the UK, where the Artillary could reach the french coast. IIRC the area was abandonded at the time of thread being posted and mainly overgrown and access to some of the tunnels was limited.

I know its not much to go on and to be honest the more I research, and lack of results, makes me sometimes wonder if I have imagined the whole thing

Anyway, if anyone could post a link to any info on the place in question I would be chuffed to bits

Dover Castle...big gun emplacements underneath the castle..tunnels etc. My granddad was in charge the night the Scharnhorst and Gneisenau(?) slipped through the channel.
