Hepco&Becker Gobi 42 litre Aluminium Look Topbox

My first post and I bet it's one that's appeared more than once before, I need to know if the above top box will fit directly on to my 2003 R1150GSA.
Anyone help?

No it won't unless you have the 1100 /1150 Hepco top rack for the bike.

OK, so I definitely need the Hepco top rack, is there any decent topbox (preferably not black plastic) that fits directly on to the existing GSA rack?

And, Hi to all. After hankering after the R1150 GSA for about 6 years now I finally through caution to the wind and stumped up the money to buy one. Apart from the immediate first impression that it's like a motorbike but twice as big, the ride back down from Notts to Brighton has convinced me that I have done the right thing. I have owned all sorts of bikes over my 35 years riding and this one's definitely a keeper.

No one makes a direct fit top box, not even BMW as their GSA box still requires a separate rack.

Personally I like Hepco Becker as once you have thier rack you can fit any of their boxes to it, even the plasticy ones.

I'd guess all use some adapter plate of some sort, including the BM ones.

You might be able to bolt a topbox directly onto the rack, but would then loose the ability of taking it off.
