I already have a Gobi topbox and am looking for panniers.

Obviously it would be cheaper for me to stay with Gobi's and just add mounts and panniers but I was hoping one of you have pictures of some Gobi's mounted so I can see just how big they actually are.
A picture from the rear would be even better so I can see how they mount around the exhaust.

As an alternative, I could just get rid of the Gobi topbox and start again wth Zegas, H&B Alu's or similar.

Obviously I've been checking every bike forum I can find for any bike with Gobi's fitted but can't get a decent pic so far, the search continues......

Don't have Gobis but this is a picture of them fitted on a 1200gs which has a larger offset on the exhaust side than the 1150.

This is of an 1150 with H&B aluminium standard panniers for reference. The racks are the same for the different H&B panniers.

The Gobi panniers do not come in different sizes but the Aluminium standard ones do, I went with a 43 litre on the right and a 37litre on the left which allows for the offset. It's not necessary but it's an option. For reference the Gobi panniers are 37 litre capacity.

Of course you could just keep your Gobi topbox and go for a different pannier.

John, thanks for the reply.

Yeah, seen the pics on there, what I really should have said was a picture square on at the back so I can see just how far the left pannier sticks out over the exhaust.

One of the guys from Motobins suggested getting the Alu Exp panniers they do, as they have a small one for the left and a larger one for the right for better balance and a more symmetrical look.

The search goes on :).....

Ah Thunder that's spot on, many thanks!

I understand now the Motobins guy wasn't just trying to get me to part with more beer tokens now

Pity the Gobi don't come in two sizes though.

Right then, a call to Motobins it is then!

I've had great service and advice from Peter in Motobins and he was the one who put me on to using 2 sizes of panniers.

Think of it like this, with the twin wall construction of the Gobis you get 74 litres with 2 panniers, going with the aluminium you have 80 litres and a slimmer profile plus the benefit of top loading.

IF you ever change your mind and want Gobis the racks are the same. :thumb
