Here in Eygpt

Ride safe bakes it's a jungle out there (actually its a desert but you all knew that already).

finally got a USB thingy in the street, in Alexander now 230 kilometers on a scooter bloody hell.

The traffic in Cairo and Alexander is very difficult to explain or its dogeum cars, we arrived in Alaxander to all I can say is a two hour Rave and hand held Firework Display,

It was what I would think the Rallye Riders come into folks lining the streets Music Fireworks, Hundreds of people cheering , I ride down first thing and Two of the organisers hit off there mounts trying to stop thaffic,

The traffic is just wild I have never experianced anything like it and they think London traffic is wild.

www.crossegyptchallenge.com or google vidoes theres bound to be something I have been interviewed 4 times and theres 27 riders,

The roads ar really bad big pot holes that shake you too the bone, I must check off as up at 6am and 2 am now, just come in from a 4 hour Lord Lucan syle walk about, to find the organisers in the fouay working hard on tommorows ride

Loads on there FACE BOOK PAGE

This guy held a mega box set of fireworks in his bear hands and just waved it about BAZZARE he could have blown his hand off

That was a long old day, we had an alarm call at 6am breakfast at 6.3oam then a team talk 7am and we were away at 9am, a mass of visits too the sponsers, a Big Shopping Mall just outside Alexander,

I was well hung over and its really not a good idea to join the lads for a beer, we managed to getout of Alexander by 11am, a place I would love too return too.

Over looking the sea most cities would have beautifully painted sea front appartments not burnt out old buildings,

Then a long old ride too where we are now some 300 km so two fallers today, a flat tyre and me running out of petrol, oh and about 50 near misses, as said before I can1t explain the driving.

We are escourted everywhere by Police and the Milatury, with guns, all very relaxed, its as if they had nothing else better too do

A stop for water , is a good reason too set off a orange flair smoke canaster, we are a train of 4 trucks 3 cars police bikes, police cars, and Army trucks.

Today saw a desert re fuel it seemed practiced off to a tee, 27 riders up up either side of the fuel pick up, sorry forgot theres two of them.

Eygpt is empty of Petrol stations out on the road, there in the cities,

some fueling

here in SIWA OASIS its `is the northermost oasis in the Western Desert, we are near the LIBYAN boarder, we have traveled 310 kms today from Marsa Matruh. We have mostly been filming to day, with the camera people.

It has spolit the day a bit for all as a lot of hanging around while cameras are set up, and the last 100 kms were pergateree. Most are suffering with bottom ache.

I have lost count of how many team photos we have had taken, but that is to be expected as 50% of the trip is paid for by local sponsers, its a very very slick opperation.

Today we have come dircetly SOUTH, and we go east tommorow on 400km off no road, this is the Challenge for the organisers.

My scooter has broken a steering head bolt or its come undun for the second day, its been very very hot this afternoon and our older members are strong but a but fed up with the waiting about in the heat.

The scenery as we

dropped into this oasis was stunning, have a look on google imagies SIWA OASIS. Heres some of todays, I slept on the shore line last night as was woken up by 5am call too the MOSquee, slept 4 hours never do that before sleeping on a beach,

I think the owner of the donkey cart might regret asking Bakerman to do the writing on the side of his taxi... :D

Looks like a great trip, Steve. :thumb2

we are through the WESTERN EGYPT DESERT, 400k off road on a KORIAN scooter, never saw another sole just the Army checkpoints, sorry been trying to post pics, signal real bad, best look at crossegyptchallenge on Facebook, as they update it all the time, we are at our second Oasis just entering the White Desert

we have just done 630 km in the last two days without phone coverage, 400km of which was the Challenge, where the road has not been constructed, the scooters are just great in the sand,

you just twist and go as fast as possable, we have stopped while they change the oil on 27 of them, and then we have anothe 200km to do today

just over half we and 1350km on it is starting to tack a told on my back, the seats are rubbish and I have my AIR HALK and could have sold it 26 times,
