Hexcode GS 911

I went to use my GS 911 yesterday and it wouldn't load up on my laptop (running windows 10)....I hadn't used it for around 8 months but it was ok the last time i used it.

I spent ages visiting the makers site, installing/uninstalling/googling, trying to load it up.

Turns out it was the ransomware protection on the Bitdefender computer defence system i use that was blocking it.

Once i removed the block on it in the settings it worked perfectly.

I know this would be common sense to most of you but it might save some of the less tech savvy (i include myself) some time.

Good tip sometimes easy things can drive you mad, and that one could have taken a while to find for the less tech savvy...............

Used Bitdefender for ages but then i seemed to be having bother with it so it got
ditched in favour of relying on Windows Defender which, to date, has been fine.

Windows10 is blocking the 911. I had this problem and brought a old windows 8 laptop for the bike only.

I have Win10 on my tablet and the GS911 software runs no problem.

Just did the latest update on the GS911 (old style USB model) and checked on the bike (2012 TC) and thankfully all works well!

Ditto, just reset the service data and cleared some outstanding error codes. 2010 TC with windows 10 plus whatever the latest update for for the usb/ Bluetooth gs911.
