I'm after a Hi vis jacket to replace mine and the wifes sam browne belts which are getting a tad tired.
I want something of good quality (robust) and fitted so that it doesn't flap around. It will go over my Rukka so needn't be waterproof or protective.

Any suggestions out there please?

I know you guys will have ideas

If it's an over-thing look at the Oxford effort (or the slightly cheaper Motrax one). Vests, with the advantage of the shoulder to hip zip so dead easy to get on and off over wet clobber in gloves. Sub £20 I think.

Do a search on icon mil spec vest. Shock cord down the sides so nice fit, not plasticy, you don't look like a roadworker. The only thing I did not like about mine were the pockets, so I unpicked the stitching.

There was a contractor at work the other day who had a hi-viz vest with not only reflective strips but glow-in-the-dark strips as well.

Fleabay is a good place to look. Got mine off there, ex police hi viz including blue chequered reflectors.

Amazing how many people see me now including the big queue of cars that build up behind when going down the motorway sticking at about 80.

Not in it to play at being plod it just does exactly what I'm after, gets me seen day or night.

weise - had mine two years waterproof, good protection, useful pockets, removable liner, well priced for quality, no complaints. apparently orange hi vis is the best from safety so i will go that way next time

Cheers guys, exactly what I wanted to get me nosing around. I've got plenty of 'plod' stuff and would rather look less plod like on my own bike eh! I find as well as the advantages there are more than a few who kinda accidently on purpose don't see you.

I have had an Urban Glow but sold it when I found one of these, which I think is a lot better seen by other motorists;

I think they went bust (or the UK importer did as they are made stateside) but found a few here;

I wear a size 52 Master V with a SM/Med one of these over it.

I think the olympia one would be easier to get now, and would possibly be my choice now, very similar with rear pocket etc as the teknic one has.
