These were designed by a cyclist fom Leicester who had been the victim of a SMIDSY :spitfire . Winter morning, high vis jacket, but black rucksack, So after a couple of years, a lot of his own dosh, and a great deal of effort, Creative Reflectives is born.
I have nothing to do with this company, but I own one of the prototypes (via a mutual mate) and use it almost every day when commuting. I am now very aware of how many bikers/scooter riders/cyclists/kids going to school have high vis coats etc, but then obscure themselves fron behind with a dark rucksack. These things really do exactly what they say on the tin. Waterproof, so yer butties wont get soggy, with a zip pocket on one side and a mesh one on the other, they also come with a choice of big square reflective warning panels. These stick on with velcro, so if you lean forward (as a cyclist does, or sportsbike rider) you can mount the panel lower, so it is still vertical to someone following you. Good, eh? Oh, and the price is pretty good too. Even if you aren't fussed, like me, many I'm sure have nippers that will be going to school/cubs/brownies whatever in the dark mornings and evenings. Two sizes and a number of colours should satisfy all. A brilliant idea, and well worth the investment.
I'll try to get this as a link, but I'm not too bright with this:http://www.creativereflectives.co.uk/

Funny you should post this. I was thinking the other day that I should get a hi-vis jacket, but then my brain kind of stalled when I pondered the fact that I usually have a backpack on - so I stopped thinking about it. Then I saw some bloke on a KTM with one of those ^ on - so I pulled up to him and asked him where he got it from. "Creative Reflectives" he said. And now here you are posting the link. Fancy that eh?! I know what to get now.

It never ceases to amaze me that when I get to work/stand in the queue to pay for petrol/cashpoint, some bright spark says something dumb like "you'll not get knocked down wearing that!" :D :D :D I usually reply with a witty retort such as "I'm an extrovert really, I just like people to gawp at me and see me coming from AS FAR AWAY AS POSSIBLE! So, evidently this works then!"

Spanner.rash (6'4" of dayglo effervessence and jollity my arse! But at least now it's a very clearly visible arse, thankyouverymuch :thumb )
