HID ballast brackets for '08 GSA

Hi everybody.

I have an '07 GSA which will now go to a friend, so I'll be getting the new '08 Magma-Red GSA (swapping mostly because of ESA).

On the new machine I want to fit some HID for both lights (with the new slim ballasts and 55W).

I need your advice on where to put the ballasts - I know there are some brackets on the market but not sure which ones work on the '08 GSA, and which is the best place for them not to interfere as I do quite a bit of off-road.

I would also be grateful if you could post some pics.

mine won't fit. the front subframe on the 08s is totally different to an 07.

Get one from Les Wassel -fits onto the oil cooler.

Neat fit and you can't really see it or the ballasts.

Mine fit the 08 GS and GSA very nice will take an up to date pic tomorrow shows the new HiD's fit even better now.

Thanks guys that looks neat Les! Just a few more questions the last 2 specifically for Les Wassall:

- if the ballast/HID bulb ever fails is it possible/easy in an emergency to just rewire and fit normal bulbs?

- as I understand the CANBUS works better with the 50W kit as same draw as normal bulbs. Has anybody had any problems with these or even 35W ones?

- I can see on your pic (Les) that you've got 4 ballasts - are the auxiliary lights also HID? If so what ballasts do you use for them (the main lights are 50W so they don't interfere with the CANBUS right?)

- I work in the UK but travel back to Portugal where my bike is very often, so the bike's there and I'll need to fit them myself - is it easy to fit the bracket and HID kit?

- The bracket to hold the ballasts do you sell it too Les? If so how much for the set (HID50 + bracket) and how much more would it be for the auxiliary lights too? also how much would it be shipping to PT (save me the hassle of taking them on flight)
