BMW R1200GS Adventure with Main Dip and Fogs converted!
Recent HID Video:-

Hi Mick, just a quick thanks for earlier today, much appreciated. Enjoy your trip from Thailand. Regards, Steve.
Heres some great LED crees that will fit nice on a lighting bar!![]()
Can you give me an idea of overall size and cost please ?
Hi Mick, I've just fitted your HID dipped head light conversion to my 2010 GSA.
1. Very high quality kit, well made and packaged, much better quality than the BMW headlamp shell it goes into!!
2. Really easy to fit, took a dremel to the screw off cap on the rear of the headlamp.
The brightness is noticeably different, not used at night yet though.
For some reason I'd imagined that I'd be reworking the actual headlamp reflector which is an arm and a leg if I bodged it and needed to replace it. Not the case, the 2" screw off cap is the only thing that is altered, and it has dotted lines showing how much to cut out, thanks Mr BMW.
I also didn't realise that the whole upgrade can be reversed and the bike restored to standard, with a simple grommet plugging the hole in the cap!
All in all I'd very happily recommend this as an urgent and necessary upgrade.
Cheers
Thanks
Hi Mick, just a quick thanks for earlier today, much appreciated. Enjoy your trip from Thailand. Regards, Steve.
New Stock of the 55 Watt CanBus Ballasts arrived today. They are a little bigger than the Slim units but they sort out any problems with 2009 / 2010 / 2011 GS or GSA's a few might still get a LampF if so then this is the answer:-
We will also be doing 35 watt units like this come Aug when we get back from China. We still have the slim units and they work with most bikes but we have found the odd exception to the rule.
We have two weeks before we depart for China so if anyone wants one then please get your order in ASAP.
Best Regards
Mick
We have slim units, Expo units 55 Watt and 35 Watt in stock ready to fit!

A couple of observations I have made after using the kits for 3 months....
SNIP
2) The dip is very strong, I turned the dip very far down, but because it is so strong and "white light" it still disturbs some oncoming drivers.
Are you using the HID bulbs with the reflector over the end of the bulb? If you don't, there will be the risk of direct light shining in the face of oncoming drivers.
There are bulbs with a mirror reflector finish on their caps so that the light is reflected back onto the main head lamp reflector and should not be such a problem dazzling oncoming drivers.
Grey Beard
I got both bulps from Mike.....none of them have a reflector.....
I will ask Mike, when he is back....
