On my way home tonight it rained and got dark. It got darker than I expected as my HID on dipped beam stopped working.
It has been fitted for a few years now and gone through a lot of rain but I just do not know how to tell if the bulb has blown or it is something else.

I have looked at the bulb all the connections twisted tapped and fiddled but to no avail:nenau
Help please

it either needs a new ballast, burner, or the wiring is faulty, you need to change something untill you find out what it is, if you have the high beam HID, swap over to find out what failed :thumb2

Since I only have the dipped beam on HID looks like I will be buying a new kit or two.:comfort
Thanks for the replies

Drop me a line, i have a fitter in Hampshire who has spare ballasts, or can check yours :thumb2

Les has been good and helpful as regards providing new HIDs
However before I said the final yes the old HID started working and then it stopped again. So the bulb is ok.
At the same time the Right hand indicator started going at twice normal speed. It is now back to normal speed.
So it could be an earth or a switch.
I have checked and refitted the HID earth. taken the RHS handlebar switch gear off and sprayed it silly.
Everything works except that damn HID on the dipped beam.
Any suggestions please?:nenau

Is power getting to the HID ballast (check the 12v side not the 20,000v side!)
