Hideout Textile suit - anyone got one?

Hi

Looking at maybe getting a Hideout Textile suit. Interested in any feedback from anyone who has either of the types they do.

I got made to measure Hideout leathers about 6 years ago and they have been amazing. Reluctant to wear anything else as they are bomb proof (anyone remember the test RIDE did years ago?) but could really do with a textile alternative sometimes.

I'm assuming the safety side of things is a given but wonder about the waterproofing, comfort in the hot/cold etc and if you would buy again.

I recently had a the usual biker conversation at Heybridge Basin in Essex with a fellow on a 850 GS which eventually got round to the suit he was wearing, one Hideout textile suit; which he was very pleased with. His was made bespoke for him as he was quite a lump as we say here. My observations was that it was a functional very well made suit, what I would call less is more styling, akin to say Aerostitch. The material of the outer shell appeared to be of the highest quality, similar to the triple laminated construction on par with the BMW Streetguard jacket.
I have no contact with this company, but was interested enough to put it on my short list when I will be buying new next year, along with Klim, and Rukka.
He made a point that it is a small Essex based company with an outstanding reputation with their leather suits, and much research was put (by them) into sourcing the correct shell material initially and getting it "right" first time with ergonomic design, safety and ventilation, for the discerning rider, especially one prepared to shell out top dollar for this kind of suit.
He, like you, had leather suits from them previously and apparently pulls in at the factory and showroom in Essex for a cuppa, and stated the personal service was second to none. He apparently is not a Tosser, although I got the impression eventually they would have given him a suit to get rid of him, but seriously, certainly worth checking out more closely.

Good to hear a real life story and that someone was still happy with the suit after purchase. Like you I'm also looking at the Klim.

I should add that everything he said about the service etc from Hideout I agree with. They were brilliant throughout the fitting and delivery process and offer genuine after-sales care. Plus, as they deal with repairing all kinds of gear you get the feeling they know all about what is needed from safety clothing.

Bit of a trek for me to get there but might be the next step. Before getting the leathers I'd have thought it a waste of money to spend so much on riding gear but if the Textile suit is as good then it could be worth it.

Hideout is a business how it should be. They stoc k loads of stuff to try on.

I had a look at their textile suits. . . I think its something similar to paramo fabric. Im tempted to try. The Held kit ive got has proved very poor quality. . . Worst ive ever owned actually.

The hideout suit isnt cheap, but it looks really nice quality zippers and stitching, as well as design. I like the less blingy look.

First though, i need to get reemployed
