Mick RW..............Where did you put the ballasts eventually?

I fitted HID's to both main and dip on my 02 adventure
i took the tanks off and mounted the ballasts on the frame near the alternator , held on with big cable ties
fits a treat and does not get in the way of anything.
Did take pictures but cannot find them now , but much neater that mounting under beak
just make sure you only secure the ballasts after you have made sure you have sufficient slack cable to reach the light and get full lock both sides.
Remember that the main beam ballast needs to be about an inch further forward than the dip as the lamp is smaller

Best money you can spend on a GS !:bounce1

Thanks...

for that pomm001, I did look at mounting the ballast under the tank but did not think the cable was long enough, so ended up mounting it under the beak...:D

You can mount one ballast in the actual frame headstock . Loads of room.

My ballast even has studs that align with holes in the headstock

The ballast in place

The studs that mount it.

The huge space you've got

look at that position from the picture you posted a few days ago but could not figure out how you got the bolt up there....:D and the bracket that came with my ballast only had one useable hole for the top position and me not being very good with me hands .....well unless she has a shapley figure.....:D

Thats where....
