High Depreciation

Don't know what all the fuss is about you're either a tight tw@t a poor tw@t or a rich tw@t.

:thumb2:thumb2

But the guy I sold it to has certainly done a whole load better!

Sums it up...............a mint low mileage nearly new bike for a bargain price

I have bought new................my 1150GSA in 2005 - but never again

My last 12GSA (4200 miles), current XChallenge (560 miles) were both ex demo and ranged from 30-40% off original RRP

Can't tell the difference now, they're just used bikes

Thats the same kind of money that a 2009 GSA with 20K miles is for sale at BMW dealers. So for a private sale, probably about right if not a little cheap.

The guy selling the bike clearly has no idea how auctions work as the starting price is far to high. Need to have a v low starting price to get bids and a realistic reserve; ideally no reserve.

Bids always get frantic at the end of the auction. But only if the starting price and reserve are realistic.

Well if you must sell a bike that is <1yr old....needs must I suppose.

Uh, have you noticed that he already has 3 bids and is currently at 11,150?

Things are only expensive if you have not got the money, and what a person chooses to do with their money is up to them.
New v second hand .... You'll never get consensus, save that anything with wheels is a money pit at some time in it's life, the true perspective lies in how content you are with your purchase.

You cannot really serious, can you...............that is verging on OCD:eek:

After all it's only a piece of machinery:blast

So you're willing to waste about £3k in depreciation, for the pleasure of buying new:eek::eek:

if they don't buy new,how can we buy secondhand :blast
:pullface

Indeed, someone's got to take the depreciation hit on the new purchase, don't put them off, they're doing the rest of us big favours.

ive done it

Ive done it,on various bits and bobs, if its what you want, and you enjoy it, and you have the money, go spend it.
Who wants to be the richest man in the graveyard.not me.
You are a long time dead, life isnt a dress rehearsal..:rob

I shall go to hell owing the national debt, who says you can take it with you.
