I'd expect a WCer to shop at M/S tbh.

Well done

How many miles have you done on your LC

I've covered 1850

Now when you can do 3/4 that in one hit say 24 hours come back and I promise I'll be impressed. Your obviously new to bmw gs's so I'll let you into abit of a secret. Unlike most other bikes yer average GS is used a lot and I know of a few off this site that are well north of 100,000 miles. My 1200adv clocked up 26000 in its first year and managed 1475 miles in one day.
Plan yourself some nice ride outs and try to do 3/400 miles each time and before you know it your GS will have some decent mileage on it:thumb

To be fair to the OP.

Given BMW's track record with first year new models it is very impressive that he has done nearly 2k without a issue.

Some are quick to forget how much beta-testing the first R1200GS and even the S1000RR needed before it would achieve such mileage without a hiccup.

:thumby:

Well done BMW, looks like you've got it right first time this time.

:bow

Pathetic. My Dads a Policeman stuff. Come on let's congratulate someone who has achieved mileage. You remind me of the quote.....I don't want to talk like you, I don't want to think like you. I want to talk and think like me.

Congratulations to all have ridden 2000 miles or less on their Wasserboxers. They had fun and avoided GS Boot Camp.

I had no idea IQs were defined by the number of miles a day you rode. I did 6 miles in 40 days. Does that mean I'm a total moron? :blast

Sorry for you, pmk. Now, you know you should never post on this site or ask any question if you don't want to be rudely flamed by some who are convinced they are not only the absolute funniest people in the world, but the greatest riders of all times as well. :beerjug:

Now comes my turn :blast

Don't be so sensitive :comfort

Ask a technical question or advice on something that isn't the sort of thing a 7 year old will laugh at and this place comes into its own.......but ask what colour is the best, what oil or something ridiculous and people get what they deserve.

I deserve congratulations as well please....I managed nearly 2 cups of coffee before I had to go to have a wee this morning.......a similar level of accomplishment I reckon

wow you didn't quote me and give me a load of shit Bill!!!!!

are you feeling ok? you look a little off! :comfort
