Am I missing something here, a newly released GS and already multiple recalls, error messages and one that’s caught fire!![]()
Brake pads wearing normally, at that mileage were you expecting something different!?2600 miles, had no problems, did have the replacement relay but the “faulty” one caused me no problems. My brake pads are wearing normally, still loads left on front and rear as checked yesterday with the mandatory health check, when the panniers were fitted. Will put another couple of thousand miles on first two weeks of July![]()
No not really, but if you read some posts on here others have been on their third set by that mileageBrake pads wearing normally, at that mileage were you expecting something different!?
Mark Hooton from Cymarc also had this problem. A couple of my friends did tooStick had a problem with rear pads wearing very prematurely but that’s the only case I’ve heard of

3rd setNo not really, but if you read some posts on here others have been on their third set by that mileageI would be disappointed to need rear pads at anything less than 10k and fronts 15k/20k miles.
Well it was 4 sets 3700 miles and a set of fronts , new rear caliper and rear disc . Sold it now as frustrated . Gone back to Ducati V4s. Shame as it was a great bike to ride but found the brakes lacking in both wear and feel . The V4 has fantastic brakes. I feel the old 1250 brakes were way better in hindsight.3rd set![]()
You’ve still done ok in a week to get to the Arctic Circle. Hope you’ve had a good time and the issue you have with the adaptive suspension hasn’t caused you too many problems when riding. Hopefully the dealer gets it sorted soon. Not quite as far as you ,got to the Artic Circle,on our way home now.Apart from the adaptive suspension working when it feels like it the bike has been brilliant, for wifey too.![]()
