Is that your only date for April?
Tentatively pencil me in if you can, subject to my bike arriving from Germany.
April 22nd.
I'll go for 22nd April, if that's available - thanks!![]()
that AFR graph is very interesting, I'm running a stock bike with open pipes and no CAT. I'm sure I must be running the poor thing lean.
It's a shame that the graph doesn't look anything like BMW say it should, on the before graphs of any GS that's been to Hilltop. Could they be done for false advertising?![]()
Is it a bit like car MPG figures which are nothing like those achievable in the real world? When BMW state a GS1200 gives 125 BHP is this at the crank or back wheel? My thoughts are that it's at the crank.
22nd April for me as well please. Bike is being built next week apparently so should be here in mid February.
I had my old 2013 S10 done at Hilltop.
TBH the figures dont bother me at all..its the rideability. That certainly improved..especially on the twisties in Spain and Portugal.
So the Hilltopping work for me!
FYI before bhp 75 and after 94. At the wheel. Also when touring Europe 2 up fully loaded my mpg went up slightly too!
I will definitely be getting my Eu4 GSA done at some point when there's less salt on the roads!
That’s odd – perhaps the same make and model of bike can respond differently to Hilltop!. I had my S10 done there, but couldn’t tell any difference whatsoever, so had it de-Hilltopped. But then I didn’t get a 28% power increase... lol. Geoff warned me that it was running so lean it might seize at any moment and required me to absolve him of any responsibility by saying so in front of his CCTV (difficult to believe, I know). I posted my experience at Hilltop on this forum, but had to involve the Police after getting a threatening phone call from him. Not really the kind of person you’d want to do business with.
10K miles later (amazingly it didn’t seize!!) I had it remapped at Track Electronics in Norwich. The improvement was astonishing. They were able to edit all of the fuel and ignition maps for each cylinder in each gear, disabled closed loop and reduced the fuel decelleration cutoff – all things Hilltop can’t do because he doesn’t have the software. Mind you, it did take them over 4 hours and many dyno runs in all gears at all loads (although it cost less than the 40 minutes and 3 pointless dyno runs at Hilltop).
