Here's an interesting comparison of a Hilltop Dyno report and a BMW plot for the motor.

It's a shame that the graph doesn't look anything like BMW say it should, on the before graphs of any GS that's been to Hilltop. Could they be done for false advertising?![]()
I think the before and after HP is easy enough to check. Just take your bike for a spin.
If the before HP is 87, you'd get a top speed of between 115-120 mph. And if the after HP is 122 you should see a top speed at 130 mph or so.
Blimey , I sure that's my Dyno run ...... 335 ...... and it did do well over the 130 mark
Tis m dyno run (I posted it earlier) and the HP at the wheel was checked sometime afterwards at another dyno facility and was found to be almost identical. The before figure was 97hp btw! The graph in French is off the t'interweb and I believe is at the crank figures.
Hi John. Is there any space left on April 22nd? Riding over from Cleethorpes so if you can give me a time near anybody else who is popping over there from this neck of the woods we can possibly hook up en route. Sid

If it helps on the dyno at Hilltop my speedo showed a sustained 150mph but did touch 154mph for a moment before bouncing off the red line.
Out and about 130+ is possible…
The inertial dyno load is about half the load on the street. You really want a before and after top speed on the highway.
I saw 138 satnav mph pre hilltop. I have not tried since, I don't think the bike will hive a higher top speed after hilltop but will certainly get there more quickly. If it helps, I maxed my last Hilltopped GSA out at 138mph on several occasions when I took it abroad last year. I'd not done the same pre Hilltop, but I'm sure that a few here have, and could comment?

Approaching 140mph on a GS is not a particularly pleasant place to be, it is hard work and not what is made for.
40 to 90 mph is where the fun is and after a visit to Geoff it is even more fun.
