I have recently suddenly had an unrequested change to my home page, I now have Inbox comming up. Where this has come from I don't know have tried removing various programs that have appeared at different times (uninvited)
but cannot get rid of this. I have changed my home page before but cannot remember how to do it. I admit to being a wally with these things but any help gratefully received as I am getting pissed offf with this!.

Are you using a saved bookmark or shortcut to get onto UKGSer?

Sounds to me like the url for the shortcut has been changed.

Try going to the homepage HERE, then in the browser, select 'bookmarks' and then 'bookmark this page', and select 'bookmarks toolbar' from the folder drop down options.....that will reset the link to the forum homepage rather than your UKGSer inbox.

That assumes you use Firefox rather than IE.....the principle is similar in both though (and chrome etc)

or another way, right click on the desktop, select 'new', 'shortcut' and in the box that says 'Type in the location of the item, copy and paste this address: http://www.ukgser.com/forums/ then click 'next', and when it asks you what to name the shortcut, call it' silly bastards talking a load of crap about bikes' or whatever you want (then click finish) :thumb2

Depends what browser you are using I'm on a mac at the moment so can't remember exactly what the path is on windows but for internet explorer i think its click on the internet options tab and it should be under the general setting tab to select a home page, firefox browser is click on firefox tab on the top left, click options and then you can reset home page in there..

Let me know if it works

What browser are you using (Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, etc?)

In Firefox, go to your desired home page. In Firefox, Tools, Options, General, Use Current Page, OK.
