Is the OPMID worth it? Stupid question I know... its on my list anyway

Done any other modifications? Any recommendations?

It’s £250 odd that you will never see again but you will appreciate the clarity of the OPMID’s screen in sunlight (what is that?), the and the gear indicator in particular. Some other outputs need fine tuning (speed and oil temp warning) but it’s fun to muck around with them. The clock readout is still too small so you need to install an old analogue watch (or calendar in your case) somewhere …

I stuck a £75 windscreen on to keep the Yorkshire summertime flies out of my face and it doesn’t seem to aerodynamically affect top speed

Your bike will come with five settings on the rear shocks and in the Excited States it seems popular to put a couple of short lengths of PVC pipe on top of the springs to stiffen the ride - might try that myself when warmer months come round

As reported before I have gone down the tubeless route for the convenience of plugging rather than pulling the wheel and tube to fix a puncture - but I realise you are made of sterner stuff than me!

Over the Pond it is fashionable to add racks all over the bike to carry yet more weight - they seem to be expensive and quite fragile when it is easy enough to attach your luggage directly to bike and it’s great big rear rack - pays yer money and takes yer choice …

…and don’t get me started on magnetic oil drain plugs …

Are you contemplating carrying the bike in/on your camper? I have a mate (single of course) who takes his in his minimalist VW - maybe an option for collection rather than the lazy option of delivery?

ps. i did splash out a fiver on a 13T front sprocket but have yet to fit it

If I had a breakdown or an accident ......

Punctures fairly rare these days and couple of times I've just used the sealant and inflation which have got me ... and others, back home. Back at the hotel, or back at home, I'll stick another tube in while having a bier

How did you go 'tubeless' ?

Hi guys, recently (less than 1000klms old) CT125 Trail in Thailand I’ve had the rear shock mount bolt/pin break off, not sure if it’s due to an overloading situation or over torquing the exhaust mount when fitting a Diablo system, issue is it looks like it’s press fitted to the frame (through the frame) and is only available as a complete new frame, anyone experienced the issue and has a resolution?

That's simply poor quality material, no way a fixing that big should break even if they'd been jumping the bike.
