I’m guessing 6v, and if so would there be any reason to go 12v?
Ha well I'm just trying to get my head around the strange wiring system of these early Hondas.!!
At the moment I'm leaning towards a more modern rectifier and possibly using capacitors instead of a battery.
There's much I don't understand fully yet, like since part of the battery's function is to dump power how could I overcome this by using a rectifier/regulator and/or a Zenor diode.
The move to 12v I haven't looked fully at what's involved and what benefits there are.
Electronic ignition like on the CT110 would be nice as it's a long time since I've had to do this

Who do Peeps use for insurance?
My usual insurer is Bemoto. They can't give me a quote because they can't find it listed anywhere

Adrian Flux insure my Campervan.
My problem is that I don't have a garage or a shed and I live in a DN4 Postcode area.
The Camper sleeps on the street, which is a cul-de-sac.
The 'bike sleeps in the rear garden.
Th'e 'bike has an extremely tough ground anchor, another U Lock, an alarm .... but none of them are Thatcham (?) Approved. I have a double lock, and an iron bar that padlocks across the inside of the rear gate. The 'bike cannot be seen from outside my premises and the only people that know it is in my garden are my immediate neighbours.
Lived here forty years and there has always been one or two 'bikes in the rear. Never had a problem whatsoever (he says, touching wood)
The CT125 Hunter Cub is going to be my only motorcycle.
It is less value (although new) perhaps a third of the value of the VW T4 Camper parked on the street. Camper 10,000 miles per year, Honda probably 5,000
Adrian Flux want £125 more to insure the 'bike (when it comes) than I pay for the Camper

Try Carole Nash Select, my quote earlier this year from CN included European breakdown and I didn't want a years cover but they wouldnt remove it. Then they said try CN Select who do non standard policies. Worth a look

Devitt, underwritten by Novitas, £190, garaged, 9 yrs ncb, could not locate the model but they suggested calling it a C125!

BUT I did joke when my missis was alive that, when she passed (she had terminal cancer) the room window I would convert to opening doors and the 'bike could be ridden straight in. I'd convert that end of the room to tiled floor and the 'bike could sleep next to a radiator
She said that she believed I would do that ... bless
The room floor is about 12" higher than the concrete outside.

And have a small turntable to spin the bike around, get it done Micky. I think they call it future proofing.
