Picked up this Honda XR250, about 3 weeks ago for a winter trailbike (something lighter than the 650 XChallenge)

1998 model - 4000 miles - original & unmolested for a dirtbike, a rarity in itself and got it for a fair price - although prices are firming up because some people are returning to them from the new watercooled Honda enduros, which are proving not as reliable

They make a very capable trailbike, quiet and easy to maintain, easy to start (kick), no batteries to go flat and road legal from the off

Had the XR250's before and they will go most places, with little effort

Being a Japanese built Honda they are nicely made and screwed together and the quality of finish is pretty good

A few jobs were needed, brake service and adjust the tappets, get it MOT'd and taxed...........together with some New Renthal Bars and some Barkbusters, new OEM Honda levers and a Gadget sumpguard etc

She's coming on nicely, just needs the alloy frameguards tomorrow and some paint on the left side of the frame, in due course.................I like to get them just so, guess we all peronalise them - based on our own views

It's nice to be back on a Honda:thumb
