I bought a second hand 2005 VTEC with about 15k miles on it. I was amazed at the build quality and I had already had a CBR600 and a VTR1000. I commuted and toured on it, washed it once a week, mostly, and when I sold it it looked as good as when I bought it, ie, like new. I got used to the linked brakes and the power step; having had an LC250 I had no trouble and actually liked the split personality, especially the exhaust note, on standard cans, above the power step. It is a heavy bike though, and the engine is expensive to service, and I’d want a good discount for any age VFR without a full service history.
