Anyone know anything about this, just added to the stable, it’s a 1953 Horex Regina 400, underneath the dust it’s a superb condition machine, but have not seen any available for sale in the U.K. I will get it up and running and see if it’s a keeper, just wondering if anyone here has any experience with them.
Cheers, Steve

That's a rare find in the UK; they have some lovely detail design touches.

I came across them in Austria, when we happed upon the Horex Treffen. a club run/meet. Several riders used our hotel, where the proprietor was, naturally, a keen Horex fan. It's a shame the various re-launces have never really made any impact - that VR6 motor should work well in the confines of a bike frame, rather than an across the frame 6.

The Horex VR6 is my money no object bike;; as for the twin port single in the picture i would say that could be a good useable classic;
