Horse burgers

There now saying it could be an accident that horse meat went into them so I would like to know what else is in there? Apart from all the other fillers and flavour JJH

I'm enjoying the puns & eating horse will not injure your health BUT if it is sold to you as beef well it should be beef.
IMHO this is all part of the race to the bottom in the context of cutting costs. Cutting costs eventually leads to the treshold of cutting corners. That boundary is not well marked out & cutting corners is found in high cost (immediate monetary cost) services but where beef is sold seriously cheap - allowing for the bulking agents - how surprising is this really.
Bung in some cheaper cuts of horse - it's called profit & it's called cutting corners. It just dependends where on your perspective.

Guy asks girl at tesco checkout: what should I put on my burgers?
To which she replies: nothing, sure it lost the last three races.

I have eaten horse many times in France, always sold as horse though.
Even steak tartare which was horse, delicious.
Buy your meat from a quality butcher, and your fruit/veg from a dedicated green grocer and you wont go too far wrong. Won't be as cheap as a supermarket, but will be better quality and fresher.

where can i get them, horse isnt a cheap meat mmmmmmm i a hungry now

will we be hanving horsey burgers at the next huff roast

Bad news for Tesco with the horse meat and all that but it gets worse. Apparently there were also a load of camel toes found in leggings in the Drapery section too!!

Exactly, you only get what you pay for. I go to the butchers and local farm shop for fruit, veg, eggs, milk :thumb
