The seat on my GS does not have the rail system of adjustment that is referred to in the owners manual. I bought the bike at about 15 months old and it is a 2007 model.

Can anyone tell me if the adjustable seat system was changed or have I got the low seat option? I have to say that the bike doesn't strike me as very tall when I am sitting on it.

Thanks.

well if it doesnt have a two position adjusting rail I recon its a low seat.

i'm not aware of a fixed seat height other than the low option.

Isn't that a good thing?

Or are you really really tall and it's uncomfortable to ride for long distances?

No I am not a giant, I am 6 feet but it does seem a little cramped.

Also, now I want to know what the standard seat is like. It may not be better but I need to try it out I think.

Then you should have got that Sargent standard seat that a bloke from Mill Hill was selling.

It may still be there.

Far superior to the BMW seat.

why not offer to swap it with someone who wants a low seat? or take it to a local friendly dealer and see if they'd like to swap...may be a free way of chnaging
