How do you mount yours!!!!

Oi shorties.....!

I'm 6'5" tall, and casually stand to the left of the bike, raise my right leg over the seat, and lean the bike upright with my left thigh, having both feet on the ground.

Should I be looking to do a Frankie Dettori mount/dismount routine instead?

Yes, you'd appear much cooler to anyone who cared :)

I used to do that but it used to trap my manhood between the bike and mi leg.

You must dress on the Right Martin?

Such envy - but can I suggest you might now want to return to play with your mates in the cheap seats...... :P

As a black belt in Taekwon-Do, I would be ashamed of myself if I couldn't lift my leg at least high enough to clear a GS.

I mount by grabbing the bars in both hands, while pulling the front brake to keep the bike from rolling. With my right leg bent, I lift it high enough to clear the bike, so my lower leg is horizontal, then pivot on the ball of my left foot while straightening my right leg over the bike and lowering it down at the far side of the bike. It's basically a slow turning kick.

Because I'm a bit short for my bike, I then put my right foot on the right peg and push the bike upright with both my arms and legs. This puts me standing with the bike as if I had just come to a stop and put my left foot down.

You really don't need to use the left footpeg ..... just bend yer bloody knee! If you "lead" with your foot you can't get your leg high enough, just bend it substantially at the knee and lead with your knee ... when your knee's passed over the seat just straighten your leg! For years I've watched bikers struggle on even fairly small bikes because they seem to have an inability to avoid a straight leg hop onto the seat, it's simple biomechanics.

doesn't work if you have a bag strapped on the pillion of course.

I find that the velcro in the top of my boots chaffes my cock end if i try to swing my leg over so i use the foot peg method on the XR

If its on the centre stand, left foot on left foot peg, hold both bars and climb aboard that way.

How tall are you? How do you get the bike off the centre stand to get going?
I'm 1.80m and wouldn't get my feet down whilst the bike's on the centre stand.

GSA LC, and with a 37" inside leg I never bothered to think about it. Surprised that people in this parish do.

Caesi,

I am 6ft 1in and I put my feet on the deck and push it off the centre stand.

Use both methods - left foot on peg and knee on seat-but always mount with the side stand down. Seems silly on the road to use the enduro method.
