Hi Guys
OK so I've got the bike and now I need to make sure I keep it. I have a ground anchor in the garage and having read where you thread the chain through and around, what size chains are you using?
As always thanks in advance.

Thanks Andres
Apologies my friend but I didn't realise that I could buy a customised chain - I thought they came in predetermined lengths? Can you give me your contact because I think a custom length chain would be much easier to use? Many thanks dude.

Andreas - ha just re-read your post!!!!! how longs a piece of string? very good - completely went over my head - it must be the heat dude - sorry about that!! however I can get a chain up to 2m long - which although it will pass through everything will be heavy?? So I was wondering what length everyone else uses - cheers anyway - jon hall

Sorry, let me explain :D

I was thinking that only you know how close your bike is parked to the anchor e.g. I have two in the garage, one bike backs up to it the other bike is along side the other anchor so I was suggesting you park the bike up and using some string work out how long the chain needs to be then buy the nearest length from pre made chains that are out there or, as I did, go to a decent lock smith type shop and buy the length you want :thumb2

OP, please supply full details of your garage, the direction in which you wish to park your awesome steed, the location of the ground anchor, any obstructions (lawn mower, tins of paint, your car, the dog's old bed) and preferably pictures, with a pint of beer and a pencil to add the necessary scale.

Failing that, string and imagination really are your best friends. You'll manage, after all you have bought your bike.

would it not be more prudent to just secureaccess to your garage? Then this might be posted on a different forum? really? What is going to happen when you want to tour...

Look up English Chains in Surrey. A range of widths and hardening and length to your spec. Plus a variety of padlocks. All mail order. Good stuff.
