HOW MUCH ????

Select a policy with a huge excess in order to bring the price waaaaay down and then get a separate excess insurance to cover it.

Works out far far cheaper.

I had enormous troubles trying to insure mine. I think on the renewal I will take Nutty's advice and say it's a black GSA.

One of the main issues is that any bike above £15k can't be quoted online by the majority of insurers. I eventually got my quote to just under a grand using Carol Nash who put me with Ageis (spelling?) but my god was the entire ordeal an issue and took days to complete. Luckily once I had decided on Carol Nash it was very easy to deal with them.

The only things which stopped it being over £1k are 1. it isn't covered if stolen within 500 metres of house if it isn't locked in my garage and 2. when riding into work it's only covered if it's in my work's underground gated car park.

Insurance is a horrible experience.

Carole Nash !!!!!!

Six wheel policy one car 1.4 diesel two 1150/1200 bikes all comp all the extra,s Renewal notice £625+ Old fart 9yrs no claims etc.

Up a lot from last year phoned them up and told them they were having a giraffe and I was off unless they had a sensible reduction. I wouldn,t say what the competition quoted and low and behold they found an £189 reduction which with all the extras was competitive. Also asked for the Car /bikes breakdown to see how it panned out

The moral shop around every year as loyalty aint worth diddly squat and lines you up for a rip off

Principal want another £150 to remove the XR from my policy, and add my new 1290R. The policy runs until September.

I'm sure they're cashing in, as they know I won't cancel my policy mid term.

The 1290 is cheaper to insure than the XR, on a new policy, so I'll just have to suck it up. Come renewal time, I'll certainly be shopping around.

What ??

I paid £171 last renewal and that's a rider policy so can have as many bikes as I like and don't even need to tell them about changes etc .

My 3 bike policy cost under £250 for the year, so they're obviously taking advantage as they know they can get away with it.

Who are you insured with?
