Little Gringo gets washed from time to time but try not to get to close as I then start observing certian things that needs more attention and cleaning and then the washing never stops. Not much rain this year so far so not much washing done either.....

I was pressure washing the slime off my drive the other day - it's a safety issue (Really!) when I slip up and end up on my arse, it's time to clean the drive down!

My bike was parked on a part of the drive that I had just washed.
I had the pressure lance in my hand and thought sod it - let's give it a go!

Now, I have never been a believer in pressure washing bikes, as it washes grease out of bearings and stuff.

BUT BUGGER ME!

I it was silver! I couldn't remember the last time it was the same colour as described in the logbook!

So then I tried it on the car.

I completely forgot that it was green!

At that point, I got bored, and took the bike for a real thraping!

Felt a bit quicker too without the mass of dirt on it...

Mike.

Wash mine just before a service is due, dont see why the fitters should have to work on a dirty bike. other than that not very often at all

Have a power wash at work... so it gets a few dosings a week... when I can be botheres. Having spent so much of my life keeping the bright-and-shiny H-D in tip-top condition, I got kinda sick of always polishing and cleaning. Buying the GS ment an end to that sort of behaviour... it looks good when spotless, and looks off-road used when it's not... either way it's a win-win.
