Cut the shaft drive? It looks like the thief attempted to just that. Wouldn't the bike just collapse? I was thinking that in P the bike is quiet safe, and not possible to move. On FB.

No. The paralever should still keep the arm in check. As the FD would butt up against the end of it (the housing) with weight on.

Alternatively, put a skateboard under the rear wheel and roll it away.

I think they were trying to slice through the knuckle where the 2 splines meet and if they had been lucky the shaft would free spin.

Obviously they seem to know what’s behind the rubber boot !!

Not your normal garden variety thief. Job to order for parts?

It would be nice to repay some justice and take the grinder from him and in the struggle accident slip and give him a nice healed cut.

Fooking scum, I couldn’t stand and watch em take my bike, I struggle dealing with the consequences or risk of doing so in certain situations outside my control so just get stuck in, probably silly attitude really but I would feel a failure to stand and let em take my stuff, I hope I’m never put in that situation.

I think nearly all the GS’s go abroad.

Deffo organised gang favourite.
